籃網前役才靠著Randy Foye絕殺對手贏球，沒想到今日馬上就淪為被絕殺的苦主。29日籃網公牛一戰，Jimmy Butler在槍響前命中致勝絕殺，率公牛以101比99贏球。
籃網此役靠著Brook Lopez有效發揮，第四節剩下約2分半鐘時還握有7分領先，不過Butler跳出來接管了比賽，連拿9分，包含最後一秒的後撤步致勝跳投，讓籃網苦吞客場12連敗。
總計Butler全場共拿下40分，追平本季新高，「閃電俠」Dwyane Wade此役因為偏頭痛的關係，僅出賽22分鐘，攻下16分4籃板。
Brook Lopez全場拿下33分，並投進生涯新高5記三分球，表現硬是比下效力於公牛的弟弟Robin Lopez，後者拿下12分5籃板，在兄弟對決中輸了面子、贏了裡子。
籃網除B.Lopez外以Sean Kilpatrick攻下18分表現最佳，前役投進絕殺的Foye則有11分進帳。
林書豪此戰並未隨隊出征客場，據《ESPN》報導指出，林書豪左大腿拉傷傷勢不輕，目前還沒有具體的康復時間，預估會缺席好一陣子。

國民球團和替補外野手Chris Heisey之間的合約，終於在今天拍板定案，最後雙方確定以一紙1年140萬美元的合約再續前緣。雖然最後合約的改動和ESPN記者Jerry Crasnick上週報導的差異不大，但關於激勵獎金的部分，或許有可能再變動。
2016年Heisey多是以代打身分出賽，最令人印象深刻的表現，莫過於在季後賽首輪對戰道奇時轟出1發代打2分砲，讓國民看到晉級的一線生機，好表現也讓他季後能獲得一紙合約。
Heisey本賽季打擊率.216，轟出9發全壘打、17分打點，另外他除了能擔當代打外，還能守三個外野的位置，可說是一個相當好用的工具人。
今年再次挑戰國聯冠軍賽又失敗的國民，季末的首要任務就是鞏固原有的球隊陣容，並積極補強戰力薄弱的部分，用一張價格便宜的短約簽下Heisey來保持替補的戰力，可說是相當划算。
